Proudly pro kibble. Firmly pro evidence.
Kibble deserves better than internet myths.
We believe well-formulated, complete kibble is the smartest everyday way to feed most dogs: nutritionally dependable, cooked for safety, easy to portion, practical to store and accessible at almost every budget.
Why we choose kibble
Complete nutrition, made repeatable.
Dogs need the right nutrients in the right amounts. They do not need a fashionable format. A complete kibble can deliver protein, fats, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals in a recipe designed for a stated life stage, with every meal easy to weigh and every batch made to a controlled specification.
Formulated to be complete
Choose a food labelled complete for the correct life stage and it is intended to provide the full daily ration when fed as directed. That is a stronger nutritional foundation than judging a food by how “natural” its marketing sounds.
Cooked with purpose
Extrusion uses controlled heat, moisture and pressure. It helps cook starch, shape a stable food and reduce microbiological hazards. Processing changes ingredients; it does not automatically make the finished diet poor quality.
Consistent by design
A measured portion of a fixed formulation is straightforward to repeat. That consistency makes it easier to monitor intake, body condition, cost and a dog’s response over time.
For real life
A good diet has to work every day.

- No fridge or freezer required: unopened and opened packs are normally stored in a cool, dry place according to the label.
- Long shelf life: low moisture makes planned purchasing and larger packs practical.
- Fast, clean feeding: weigh it, serve it and reseal the bag.
- Easy to take anywhere: useful for travel, kennels, training and puzzle feeders.
- Broad choice: recipes span life stages, sizes, activity levels, therapeutic uses and budgets.
- Transparent cost: bag price, price per kilogram and feeding amount make comparison possible.
Myths, meet evidence
Four claims that should not choose your dog’s dinner.
“Processed means unhealthy”
Almost every safe, shelf-stable food is processed. The useful questions are whether the finished food is nutritionally complete, who formulated it, how it is tested and whether it suits the dog.
“Dogs need raw meat”
Dogs need nutrients, not rawness. Raw feeding has not established broad health superiority, while uncooked animal ingredients introduce documented bacterial and cross-contamination risks.
“Fresh must be better”
Freshness is an appealing description, not proof of nutritional adequacy or better long-term health. Complete fresh food can be suitable, but it brings refrigeration, shorter opened life and usually a higher daily cost.
“An ingredient list scores quality”
An ingredient list shows what was added in descending weight order. It cannot, by itself, reveal digestibility, final nutrient balance, quality control or the expertise behind the formulation.
What the science supports
Confident advocacy without miracle claims.
We will champion kibble without pretending every bag is equal or every dog has identical needs. FEDIAF publishes nutrient guidance for complete foods. WSAVA advises owners to look beyond marketing and ask about formulation expertise, quality control, calorie information and finished-product analysis. Recent UK Food Standards Agency testing also reinforces why the cooking step and hygienic convenience of kibble matter when comparing it with raw food.
We will also say where the evidence stops. Ordinary kibble is not a substitute for tooth brushing, “grain-free” is not automatically healthier, and the highest protein percentage does not automatically win. Pro kibble should mean pro good kibble, chosen with clear facts.

The honest dental answer
Crunch is useful. Dental evidence is specific.
Dry pieces offer texture and can provide mechanical contact, but ordinary kibble should not be sold as a replacement for dental care. Purpose-designed dental diets use particular shapes, fibres or formulations and need evidence for their claims. We support kibble most strongly when its benefits are stated precisely.
Choose kibble with confidence.
